Back of flyer

Below i worked with the logo a bit and created some interesting visuals using elements of the bodyshop logo. The enlarged bits of the logo also breaks up the type.

Front of flyer developement

I took the word 'natural' from the type i created out of fruit and make the name of the event 'the natural lock in'. I thought this worked really well as a name for the event and it also flows quiet nicely with the original strapline.

Initial ideas for an event

My idea of having an event would be a good way to get people to visit the Bodyshop new and existing bodyshop customers to try products and get money off their purchases. This would be a good way for the bodyshop to get their customers and leave them will all natural beauty products which they are satisfied with.

Bag Mock Up

I really like the shape of these little bags. I think the design works really well on them and they're different to other shaped bags you get.

Bag Nets

I have made the nets and placed all the information on which i wanted. I am happy with these as i think they work well with my poster and works well as a set.

Making a decision about what its going to say on the bags..

I have been looking through some of the stuff the woman gave me when i went in-store. As i have made a decision about why i have chosen to design three sizes of bags i wanted to find quotes to back up what was going to go into the bags. In the body-shop magazine about all their products i found quotes which i have changed a bit to relate to their products. This is what will be written underneath my 'i'm all natural baby' strapline.

The small bags will have:
"Experience the magic in our make-up"

The medium bags will read:
"Find your Natural Match"
-we've got a skin range which is right for you

For the Large bags the quote will read:
"Make someone smile with our great selection of nature-inspired gifts'

Mock ups of bags

After mocking up the bags i felt like the pink net was working best as it was a rectangular shape it would fit things in nicely as when i went to visit the store most of the stuff they sell would fit in this shape bag. I am going to design small bags for small stuff such as make up, soaps etc, medium bags for body wash, body scrub etc and larger bags for gift sets etc which are usually boxed and quiet large in format.

I felt the green and yellow net gave me a long bag which i felt wouldn't fit everything in and it would restrict the bigger shaped objects sold at the bodyshop from fitting in there. And the blue net, i felt it would be a waste of money if this was to go into production. Even though my idea was to have green ribbon to form the handles i felt this would be a waste of money and it would be expensive to mass produce. I don't think bodyshop would like this idea as they are all about saving the environment.

So...i felt the pink net would work well as it would be easy to mass produce as it is a single net, if this was taking to production i think lots of bags could be printed at the same time and then die cut into shape. I will also be printing on re-cycled paper to make it environmentally friendly This is my reason for choosing the pink net.

Nets..

I printed out a few nets of bags which i thought might work..

The plan next..

My next plan it to apply my design onto other promo stuff..
I am going to design
>Bags-3 sizes for the small, medium and large products
>A booklet explaining a bit about bodyshop products
>An invitation to a lock-in event where customers can get 25% off products
>Maybe a gift card

More poster developments

These developments show idea of getting rid of the green band as i felt it was way too dominating. I think the tagline alone on the bottom will encourage people to come closer and read it.

Poster test

the next test i did was on white matt stock. I felt this print brought out the colours of the fruit and allowed the design to breathe. I also felt the green band was too dominating on the design thats why i got rid of it. I think this print works really well.

Poster test1

I tried printing the poster on heavy weight tracing paper from the digitial print room. I think the colours look lovely on the stock. However, now i have printed my poster out a2 i'm not sure about the composition as there is far too much negative space around my strapline which i suppose is good sometimes, but because of the paper stock i feel my strapline may need to be bigger.

Evaluation of poster tests

After messing around with the poster layouts i feel that the green band may or may not be working aswell. It does attract people to the additional information i have added to the poster but i'm still not sure about whether the poster with the logo and a simple line about the bodyshop products is working.
